Our wedding will take place in one of the most beautiful and magical places we have encountered in our travels. Located in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca, the city of Oaxaca de Juarez is a unique and vibrant destination for arts and culture. Our experience visiting has been and endless source of creative inspiration, joy and awe and we can't wait to share that with you. Additionally, our wedding will take place close to the Guelaguetza celebration, so if you have time to stay some days after the wedding, we highly recommend the experience.

How to get there?

Oaxaca is serviced by Xoxocotlán International Airport (OAX). If traveling from the US, there are many options for flights with short layovers in major cities like Mexico City, Guadalajara and Tijuana. We recommend traveling through Aeromexico. We have never had issues with luggage or cancellations with that particular airline. If you are already in Mexico, Oaxaca is also accessible through bus routes from all major cities. Once at the airport, visit the Taxi hub at the exit gate and a 25 minute inexpensive shuttle ride will take you to your lodging in the city Centro.

Where to stay?

There are many options for stays in the city including hotels and Airbnb's. We have always had wonderful stays at Airbinb's and that would be our first choice. We do recommend that you find accommodations in the city Centro (see the red outline in the map below). Anywhere within that boundary gets you within walking distance from all best places in the city, including our venue and church. Book early, as the city is relatively small and many places tend to fill up for the season.
